Beyoncé’s Generous $2.5 Million Donation Supports LA Fire Relief Efforts

Those who have been impacted by the wildfires in Los Angeles have received a donation of $2.5 million from the BeyGOOD charity, which is run by Beyoncé. On Sunday, January 12, the official Instagram account of the foundation made the announcement of the donation and provided an explanation of how it will be beneficial.

 

 

It was written in the message that “Los Angeles, we stand with you.” “With a total of $2.5 million, BeyGOOD is establishing the Los Angeles Fire Relief Fund. For those families in the Altadena and Pasadena neighbourhoods who have lost their homes, this money will be of great assistance. In 2013, BeyGOOD was established. It is intended to assist individuals and collaborate with organisations that provide assistance to populations who are marginalised. With the goal of making a difference in the world, the foundation hopes to motivate everyone to “BeyGOOD.”

 

 

BeyGOOD has been a supporter of a wide variety of organisations over the years. It assisted Haiti in recovering from the disastrous earthquakes that occurred in 2015. A donation of $82,000 was made in 2016 to assist in addressing the water crisis in Flint. During the course of more than a decade, the foundation has maintained its activities.

 

 

According to information provided by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, the wildfires that have been raging in Los Angeles commenced on Tuesday, January 7, as a brush fire in the Pacific Palisades neighbourhood. According to NBC, approximately 180,000 people were instructed to leave their homes as a result of the flames that occurred in Eaton, Hurst, and Lidia that occurred. In according with The Los Angeles Times, as of Sunday (January 12), a total of 24 individuals have passed away.

 

 

The victims of the wildfires have also received donations from a big number of celebrities and businesses. Fox Corporation and Paramount each contributed one million dollars to the American Red Cross, while Disney contributed fifteen million dollars. In a post on social media, actress Halle Berry said that she would be donating her complete wardrobe to +COOP, a company in California that assists people who have been affected by wildfires.
