John Travolta Devotes His Life to Caring for Their Children After Kelly Preston’s Passing

John Travolta Gives His Whole Life to Raising Their Kids Following Kelly Preston’s Death

John Travolta has experienced a great deal in his life. Loved by many for his famous roles—Danny Zuko being one of the best, for example—as well as his character and commitment as a husband and parent, Travolta is still going strong.

After battling breast cancer for two years, his wife of 28 years, Kelly Preston, passed away in July 2020. Her age was fifty-seven. Because of their two kids, son Benjamin and daughter Ella, Travolta has been trying his hardest to maintain his optimistic attitude ever since this catastrophe.

The Travolta family experienced another loss prior to the passing of his adored wife: in January 2009, Jett, his 16-year-old son, passed away due to a seizure.

Jett had a seizure and died while on vacation in the Bahamas. His parents suffered greatly. “That’s the worst thing that’s ever happened in my life,” Travolta stated in an interview with US Weekly at the time regarding the loss. To be honest, I had no idea if I would survive.

“Choosing to keep her fight private, she had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her closest family and friends,” a family spokesman wrote in a statement to People upon Kelly’s passing.

She was a lovely, kind, and intelligent woman who genuinely cared about other people and infused life into everything she came into contact with. Her family kindly requests your understanding of their current need for seclusion.

Preston made the decision to conceal her breast cancer diagnosis. Sally Phillips, her co-star in her previous movie, Off the Rails, revealed on the British talk program “Loose Women” that they were not aware of it while it was being filmed. Sally clarified that movie stars frequently conceal health information out of fear for their future employment prospects and movie insurance.

“People go through it on their own because they worry about insurance for the film and working again afterward,” she observed. Sally also cited other such cases, like Chadwick Boseman and Helen McCrory, who made the decision to keep their health issues a secret from the public.

“My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side,” Travolta said on Instagram after sharing news of his passing. Kelly’s life and love will never be forgotten. He took the opportunity to express his gratitude to everyone who helped him through the family’s difficult moments.

His kids supported him in coping with the sadness he still harbors on his first birthday without Kelly at his side. Ella, who is pursuing a career in film in the same footsteps as her parents, wrote a heartfelt homage to Travolta, referring to him as “the most incredible man I have ever known.”

You are my best buddy in addition to being the greatest father I have ever had. We are grateful for your love, support, and upbringing as well as for all the nice deeds you perform on a daily basis. You are such a blessing to the world, and we are too. Daddy, I adore you. Yesterday, Ella commented, “I had the finest time celebrating your birthday with you.

Travolta honored his beloved late wife on Instagram on what would have been her 59th birthday by posting a picture of her with the message, “Happy Birthday Kelly.” We adore and miss you terribly.

In addition, Ella, who sadly misses her mother, posted a heartfelt remark. She wrote, “Happy Birthday, Mama. I love and miss you so much.”

Some of Travolta’s friends are said to have tried to help him get back into the dating scene after the death, but it appears that the actor is still in mourning and isn’t quite ready to move on.

An insider told OK! Magazine, “John’s had no shortage of friends wanting to set him up and there are a lot of women who would love to go out with him.”

Although he is touched, John isn’t really interested.

Nobody wants to press him because they know he’s conflicted about being the greatest father he can be, staying unmarried, and letting love into his life once more. Everyone is providing John with the space he needs until he can make sense of things.

In an interview with Kevin Heart for his talk show Heart to Heart, Travolta talked about the talk he had with his son Benjamin following the death of his mother.

“I’m afraid you’re going to because mom passed away,” Travolta claimed that Ben once remarked to her. “Well, that’s a whole different story, I responded. And I discussed the disparities between her brief life and mine.

“But you know, Ben, you always love the truth, so I’m going to give you the real deal on life,” I continued. It’s impossible to predict when they will go or return,” he said.

“‘Your brother [Jett] left at sixteen,’ I remarked. Too young. At57, your mother departed. That was too young. Who can say, though? “I could die tomorrow,” I murmured. You are able to. Anyone is able to. Let’s consider that it is a fact of life. You’re not precisely sure. All you can do is strive to live as long as possible.

In an interview with Esquire Mexico, John Travolta discussed his grieving process while maintaining a low profile.

I’ve discovered that grieving and sorrow are very individualized experiences. Only you can heal yourself; it’s a personal process,” Travolta told the magazine. It differs depending on the individual. Letting someone go through their grief and without adding to it is the finest thing you can do to support them. That’s what I discovered.

Travolta is close to his two children and is very proud of them.

He has never missed an opportunity to openly express his affection for his kids and let them know how much they mean to him over the years. What’s lovely is that Benjamin and Ella follow suit.

Ella, an actress who followed in the footsteps of her well-known parents, views her father as the most significant figure in her life and a role model.

The Poison Rose (2019) and Old Dogs (2009) are two of Ella’s well-known films. “I’ve loved performing, singing, dancing, and putting on shows at home for my family and friends since I was very little,” the actress said to People.

The Saturday Night Fever actor expressed his gratitude for becoming a parent on parent’s Day, stating, “It’s a privilege to be a father.” My darlings, you are loved. “Happy Father’s Day, everyone,” he wrote, including pictures of his kids.
