This heartfelt Budweiser ad honoring our country on 9/11 ran just once.
Even though the September 11 terrorist act, which claimed the lives of almost 3.000 people, was directed towards America 19 years ago, we still recall it as if it were yesterday.
9/11 represents sadness and loss, but it also demonstrates the nationalism of our people. Everyone united against those who were harming the nation and its citizens on that particular day. People from all over the world sympathized with the Americans as they lamented the deaths of their loved ones.
A commercial for the American beer company Budweiser that resonated with many people during those difficult times aired. It’s so poignant that it can bring tears to even the hardest of hearts.
The Clydesdales, the company’s emblematic horses, are seen traveling around New York City in the commercial. They pause at the park to take in the skyline as they go by the Statue of Liberty and over the Brooklyn Bridge.
When they finally get at the location of the former Twin Towers, they bow their heads in reverence.
“Never forget and don’t ever let that happen again” is their motto.
Only on the tenth anniversary of the attack was the commercial aired again. According to a statement from Paul Chibe, vice president of marketing at Anheuser-Busch, “we feel our 9/11 Clydesdales tribute ad is very special.” “On Sunday, the tenth anniversary, we were honored to rerun the commercial in an effort to promote the National September 11 Memorial & Museum’s fundraising campaign. The advertisement’s modest alterations were meant to convey the passage of time and its most crucial message—that we should never forget those who were impacted by and lost their lives on 9/11.
Check out the poignant advertising that follows. Very moving, in fact!
