At least fifteen people killed in a serious Canadian traffic accident
At least fifteen people were killed in a horrifying disaster that happened in Manitoba, Canada, on Thursday.
In southwest Manitoba, 170 kilometers west of Winnipeg, at the convergence of two major highways, a bus carrying mostly elderly people collided with a truck.
The bus’s passengers were headed to a casino in Carberry at the time of the tragedy, according to information given by the police.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police commander in Manitoba, Deputy Police Officer Rob Hill, announced that regrettably, at least fifteen people were declared dead following the crash.
About twenty-five persons, the majority of whom were elderly, were on the bus.
At the hospital, ten more people were receiving medical attention. The police said that both drivers were alive but would not say who caused the collision.
Photos taken at the scene of the disaster revealed wheelchair seats and walking frames shattered close to the tarpaulins that covered the dead victims.
Justin Trudeau, the prime minister, offered his sincere condolences to the bereaved and his sympathies to the injured.
Premier of Manitoba Heather Stefanson also conveyed her condolences to the families of the those lost in the unfortunate event.
