The more we hear about people who are caring and who help others, the better our lives make us feel. There are still people who are always willing to provide a helping hand, despite the fact that it appears that people’s capacity for empathy is diminishing in some way.
Everyone was astonished and perplexed by the events that were taking place on the highway, namely under a bridge on Interstate 696 near Huntington Woods, Michigan.
Those who were driving along this route found themselves in a traffic jam; nevertheless, when they discovered the reason why thirteen trailer trucks were positioned in a line and refusing to move an inch, they realized that the time they had spent waiting was well worth it.
After receiving an emergency call about a person who intended to commit suicide by jumping off the bridge, State trooper Michael Shaw called the truck drivers to offer assistance. In an instant, Shaw, who is a very intelligent individual, came up with a wonderful idea. However, in order to put it into effect, he required some additional assistance. As a result, he hurriedly called a traffic cop and requested that he redirect the traffic.
Each and every one of the truck drivers was more than pleased to be of assistance.
In the event that officials and specialists were unable in persuading the guy to abandon his goal, the trucks might prevent him from jumping directly onto the ground, so assisting in the prevention of any serious injuries. This was accomplished by parking under the bridge, which covered the entire space beneath it.
On the other hand, there was a pleasant conclusion to this story since, after standing on the bridge for four long hours, the man was finally removed and offered psychological assistance.
