The parents of Simone Biles, who adopted her from foster care, don’t think highly of her Houston “LA House”
Four-time Olympic gold medallist Simone Biles struggled with mental health issues in Tokyo 2020. Her legendary status was solidified when she made a comeback at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. With eight Olympic medals and thirty World Championship medals, Biles became the most decorated American gymnast when she won gold in the women’s gymnastics final. Even with a calf injury, Biles continued to establish her reputation by showcasing her incredible talent.
Biles and her colleagues raised a massive American flag in celebration of their win. “We’re honored to represent the U.S. every time we get on a world’s stage, but accomplishing that gold and that goal was just an amazing feeling,” she said during the post-medal press conference, expressing their delight. After Biles withdrew from the Tokyo Olympics owing to her mental health, the squad was driven to prove themselves.
Biles put her mental health first before concentrating on her romantic life, getting married to NFL player Jonathan Owens in 2023. They were married in two different places: in the United States and in Cabo San Lucas. Biles has made no secret of her challenges and victories, emphasizing the value of mental wellness.
Biles had a difficult upbringing that included time spent in foster care. Her enthusiasm for gymnastics started on a field trip, and her grandparents later adopted her. Her parents were very supportive of her enthusiasm and saw her talent early on.
Although they are building a new home together, Biles and Owens now reside in a contemporary Houston home. Even though their tastes are different, Biles says with confidence, “But it’s not your house, it’s mine.” They still reside in Houston, where Biles works out at the World Champions Centre, her parent’s gym. She is still a formidable force in gymnastics at the age of 26.
