Country music superstar Miranda Lambert is drawing flak for what she did at the Montana Festival. After witnessing Lambert reprimand the crowd in a video that was uploaded by one of the attendees on July 14, a number of people fled.
The artist speaks to the crowd in the video as the caption, “Miranda reprimands crowd at Under The Big Sky in Montana,” plays. With her cowboy hat and tassel-adorned denim on, Lambert addressed the audience without holding back.
Lambert made it clear that the crowd was not focused on her. She said, pointing to herself as she spoke the final words in a southern drawl, “I can see your head is not turned the right way, which is this way.”
Some supporters cheered in response to the star’s obvious annoyance. “So, if you came to visit, you can do it somewhere else,” Lambert goes on.
“We’re doing that tonight if you came to sing and hear some country music and drink some beer,” Lambert declared to the raucous crowd.
“Are we clear?” Lambert questioned the audience once more while raising her hands in the air. She then pointed to certain persons in the audience and asked if they were done being dramatic, suggesting that there may have been a minor conflict among some of them.
“It is unacceptable to fight. Usually, it’s the girls as well. We lose our minds! Lambert cried out and laughed. The mood abruptly shifts when she raises a cup to toast with the assembly.
“To all of you, cheers. With her right hand, she raised the cup in the air and said, “I’m going to wait it out,” taking a sip from the straw within. Lambert turned to her stage crew and shook her cup to signal that she would want a refill. At that moment, she realized her cup was empty.
When she responded, “Mine’s empty,” someone rushed to grab the cup and hand it to her, giving her a fresh one. The vocalist of “Somethin’ Bad” held up her arms and exclaimed, “This looks like a good time for a drink, y’all!”

“We left. As did a LOT of the audience,” one person in attendance during Lambert’s address revealed. “This is terrible,” wrote one commenter on social media, while another stated, “I stopped liking Miranda for this exact reason.”

Lambert addressed the audience at a recent Las Vegas show, breaking into her hit song “Tin Man.” She became enraged with a group of women who were snapping pictures of her performance.
A few bars into the song, she told her band to stop playing, and she stopped singing. Miranda Lambert pointed to the women and stated, “These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song, and it’s pissed me off a little bit.”
Lambert expressed her annoyance even more as she reiterated how much she disagreed with what they were doing, to the thunderous applause of the crowd. In line with her previous comments, Lambert stressed that attendees should remember their main reason for going—to enjoy some country music.
She then motioned for the women to put down their phones and pay attention to her. “Should we start again?” she said before the pianist picked up the song again. When she began to sing once more, a few of them got up and left.
We even heard one concertgoer say, “Let’s go, c’mon.” You don’t treat supporters that way. Another said, “All right. Goodbye!” A video of the concert drama that was shared on social media in 2023 was overlayed with the words “She Mad.” In the caption, they stated, “Miranda said [it’s] My Show.”
